We were able to reserve places as we had flights with Singapore airlines. The process was efficient and easy. We were pleasantly surprised however- the guide May was excellent; she communicated well and had a lovely friendly manner. We saw a fantastic show at Gardens by the Bay, and all free! We booked extra lay over time to explore Singapore airport and the things they offer as we figured it would be an easy low stress way to see some sights. We went on the free heritage tour - the customer service was terrible. The organisation system was very bad, the guide Catherine was essentially just yelling at us, she was not clear about what we should do and she was very rude. The actual tour itself was mostly driving past things and giving us propaganda like rants about how great Singapore was, it was hard to see anything from the bus and poorly explained. The driver almost left some people behind actually started driving away despite them still having allocated time to get back. One lady needed to use a rest room half way through the tour and the way the guide treated her was horrible, this was actually shocking and very sad for this older woman. If you are going to go - take lots of water with you and don’t expect much. The bus is very hot and makes the whole terrible service a lot more hard to handle. Le personnel est sympathique mais pas adapté à la situation ; débordé par la demande, pas polyglotte c'est un comble dans un aeroport de cette classe !, et surtout les bus sont mal adaptés à ce type de visite express bus de ville recyclé donc pas assez de place. Avec un vrai car de tourisme à impériale, on pourrait satisfaire un peu plus de voyageurs restés sur le tapis faute de place. Nous avons profité de notre escale de 8 heures pour faire la visite guidée de Singapour. Un conseil fuyez! Le bus passe rapidement dans Little India et Little China. Impossible donc de prendre des photos. Lors d’un petit arrêt de 20 minutes, nous avons dû observer le fameux Merlion de très loin puisque la guide a préféré nous emmener acheter des glaces chez un glacier qu’elle apprécie. Interdiction de s’approcher du monument. Idem pour le Marina Bay Sands, construction iconique de Singapour. A part nous conseiller et nous montrer des hôtels luxueux ainsi que des restaurants, nous n’avons rien vu d’authentique et sommes passés à côté des monuments phares. Tout est complet 2 jours avant!!! Il il a 1 bus avec 34 places à peine supposé vous promener dans Singapour. évidemment celui-ci est déjà archi complet quand vous arrivez et de toutes façons, bien entendu, on ne peut pas réserver. Le problème est que quand vous réservez votre billet d'avion, si votre escale dure plus de 6h30, SIA vous fait miroiter un tour dans la ville la plus chère et la plus artificielle du monde pour patienter ... mais c'est du flan! Aku dan Bram ikut free Singapore ini awal tahun 2019. Tepatnya bulan Januari sih, saat akan kembali ke Jerman dari Indonesia. Kalau gak salah, kami waktu itu pakai Scoot Airlines, sehingga dapet transit di Singapore. Kami transit di Singapore selama 13 jam. Kami memang berencana keluar Airport saat transit, daripada diem gak jelas 13 jam di airport, walaupun kami tau, di Changi banyak hal yang bisa dilakukan. Akhirnya, sebelum kami berangkat ke Singapore, kami search di google, kalau-kalau ada free tour untuk orang yang transit di Changi, dan jackpot. Ternyata ada. Haha. Waktu nunggu peserta lain yang masih cek visa Free tour ini diadakan sebanyak 7 kali dalam sehari setahuku Correct me if i’m wrong, dan mereka menyediakan 2 jenis tour. Ada Heritage Tour dan City Sights Tour. Tour ini juga ternyata cukup terkenal di kalangan transiters seperti kami, sehingga slotnya terbatas. Pendaftarannya menggunakan prinsip siapa cepat dia dapat. Aku lupa jadwalnya bisa didapatkan online atau nggak, yang pasti, kami dapat jadwalnya dari stall nya yang ada di setiap terminal. Untuk Heritage Tour, kamu akan diajak ke Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam, dan Merlion Park. Dan berhenti sebentar di Kampong Glam dan Merlion Park untuk foto-foto. Sementara City Sights Tour, kamu akan dibawa ke Central Business District, Merlion Park dan Gardens by the Bay dan berhenti sebentar di Merlion Park dan Gardens by the Bay. Berhenti sebentarnya gak sebentar banget sih, lumayan lah, 30 menit. Bisa foto-foto dan keliling dulu. Kalau aku dan Bram ikut yang City Sights Tour, karena menurut kami lebih menarik aja. Kalau gak salah, kami ikut tour pukul karena kami sampai di Singapore pukul Ada yang berangkat lebih awal pukul tapi saat kami kesana, slotnya sudah penuh. Jadi kami daftar untuk pukul Untuk pendaftaran hanya dibutuhkan passport dan boarding pass yang memperlihatkan kalau kita transit lebih dari 5,5 jam di Singapore. Setelah daftar, kami diminta untuk berkumpul di depan tempat pendaftaran tersebut kira-kira 30 menit sebelum tour dimulai. Kalau ada yang bertanya, nanti dapet makanan gak?’ nggak. Jadi, kalau memang gak sempet makan sebelumnya dan ngerasa mungkin bakal laper, bawa cemilan aja yang bisa dimakan saat stop nanti. kalau udah sampe suatu tempat, boleh keluar dari tour dan jalan-jalan sendiri gak?’ gak boleh. Harus ikutin jadwal mereka. Dikasih waktu hanya 30 menit ya 30 menit. Kembali ke bis sesuai waktu yang dijanjikan. 30 menit sebelum tour dimulai, kami berkumpul di tempat pendaftaran sebelumnya, lalu 1 wanita yang ternyata tour guide kami datang menghampiri kami. Dia memberikan kami stiker yang harus ditempelkan di baju sebagai penanda kalau kami peserta tour. Lalu kami diminta mengikuti dia dan bertemu dengan peserta yang juga sudah daftar dari stall di terminal lainnya, kemudian kami keluar melalui check out gate pada umumnya, cek visa oleh petugas, lalu kami diajak ke bis. Pesertanya saat itu mungkin 40 orang. Tempat duduknya juga tidak ditentukan, siapa cepat dia dapat. Tournya menurutku benar-benar menarik, karena sepanjang perjalanan tour guide akan menjelaskan berbagai banyak hal mengenai Singapore, kulturnya, penduduknya, setiap daerah yang kami lalui juga dia jelaskan. Menurutku menarik, karena menambah pengetahuan baru untuk kami. Tour tentunya dalam bahasa internasional, bahasa inggris. Pemberhentian pertama kami adalah Merlion Park. Tour guide menyampaikan pukul berapa kami harus sudah kembali ke bis, dan dia sampaikan secara tegas kalau tidak boleh ada yang terlambat datang ke bis. Aku dan Bram langsung berjalan ke spot-spot foto tentunya dan foto-foto sampai puas. Tour guidenya juga sekali menawarkan kalau kami ingin difotoin, biar ada foto berdua. Pemberhentian kedua kami di Gardens by the Bay. Disana, kami diberi waktu berhenti cukup lama, kalau gak salah 45 menit. Ada beberapa peserta yang lapar dan beli McD, kami sih langsung foto-foto. Hehe. Dari sana, kami kembali ke Airport dengan bahagia. Haha. Menurutku, ikut tour ini sangat seru, juga hemat. Kalau gak ikut free tour ini kan, kami harus beli tiket subway, tiket bis mungkin, lalu waktu yang digunakan jadi habis lebih banyak, dll. Sementara dengan tour ini, kami tinggal duduk manis di bis, sampai ke suatu tempat, foto-foto. Makan sih tinggal waktu kembali ke Airport lagi. Makan di foodcourt airport enak juga kok, banyak pilihan juga. Aku gak tau gimana tour ini saat pandemi, karena kami ikut pada tahun 2019. Sekian. 🙂 Our Instagram
